These are my thumbnail sketches. This my piece in progress. This is my finished piece. This is the detail shot I liked the most because I like antique clocks. The medium I choose for this project was oil pastels because they were colorful and I like the texture.
What I added to be my 2 in 1 was a tree and a grandfather clock. This made me think of making video games which I like to do for fun. I first drew several interesting things in my sketchbook. Next, I decided that I wanted to use the grandfather clock and tree because I thought it was a good combination. Then I sketched out my two things and combined them. Finally, I used oil pastels to bring out color to the piece.

Valuable warm up Pencil sketch (It is danger tape) Pen sketch (The building in the sketch looks like an emoji) Charcoal sketch (It's a storage box) My most helpful warm up was the pen cubes. They were helpful because it was practice for the pen project which showed me how to draw using different techniques. I had no idea this many techniques existed. My favorite technique is hatching because it looks cool and I used it for my pen project.
Composition - The placement or arrangement of visual elements in a work of art. Value - Element of design that defines the light and darks in artwork. Pen - Pro: I liked pen because it was easy to use. Con: I could not erase it. Charcoal - Pro: It had a darker texture so I could make good pictures. Con: It was messy. Pencil - Pro: I liked it because I could erase it if I made a mistake. Con: I would have to resharpen it if it wore out.
